Maria proudly comes from Argentina where baked empanadas reign supreme. Her company, Weetas Empanadas, was created in 2019 during the pandemic when her older son asked her to make empanadas. Her take on the Argentine classic was a huge hit with the local Argentinian community and others who tried them. She works with her daughter-in-law Lisa, in a local commercial kitchen to prepare twelve exceptional empanada flavors, prepared using top notch ingredients. You’ll find them at farmer’s markets throughout the GTA.
